Frequently Asked Questions

What are the COVID-19 policies for your wedding? What precautions are you taking to ensure a safe environment for all guests?

As we’re sure you can imagine, we are closely monitoring COVID-19 and how it will impact our wedding plans. We are thrilled that we are one step closer to celebrating with you, and your health and safety continue to be a priority.

With that being said, we are asking all guests who are attending our wedding in-person for proof of vaccination before arrival at the ceremony site. This means you must have received one full dose of a single-dose vaccine or two full doses of a two-dose vaccine at least two weeks prior to the event (April 9, 2022).

In the interest of ensuring the safety of all guests, vendors, and venue employees, no guest will be admitted to our celebration without full vaccination. If vaccination is not possible, please plan to not attend the wedding in-person.

We understand that the situation above may make your attendance of our wedding in-person impossible. This deeply saddens us because we love you and will miss you, but as much as we want to start our marriage with you present, we want to keep our friends, family, and vendors safe. We hope that by starting this conversation early, we can discuss what works best for all of us.

Where should I stay while I'm in San Antonio?

We have reserved a block of rooms with the Wyndham Garden Riverwalk/Museum Reach for our guests. If you are so inclined, Airbnb and Vrbo also offer many different options for says in the city. For more information, visit the Travel & Stay section of our site!

Will there be any events planned for the wedding weekend outside of the ceremony?

We’re so excited for you to visit our hometown and celebrate our wedding! Outside of the ceremony and reception, we do not have any other previously arranged activities.

If you want to experience some of our favorite places in the city, check out the ‘Things To Do’ section of the website for our top choices.

What should I wear to the wedding?

The dress code for the ceremony & reception is colorful cocktail attire. How is that different from traditional cocktail? The only big difference is we want everyone to embrace the vibrancy of the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and the city itself.

Though there are some paved walkways in the Garden, a majority of the events will take place on grassy areas, so stilettos might not be the easiest to walk in!

Still stumped on what to wear? Take a look at this article on cocktail attire.

What will the weather be like?

Late April in San Antonio can be quite warm compared to other climates across the US. Temperatures can range anywhere from the mid-eighties to the mid-to-high fifties. Since the wedding will be outdoors, we recommend keeping an eye on the weather to decide whether or not to bring that wrap for the evening festivities.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is a gorgeous outdoor space, and we will be having both our ceremony and reception outside. In case of rain, we will be planning on using tents and still enjoying the wonderful grounds of the Garden.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to venue limitations and COVID-19 considerations, our wedding is strictly RSVP-only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

What if I have dietary restrictions? How should I let you and your caterer know?

We want to make sure everyone gets to enjoy the delicious reception dinner we have planned! If you have dietary restrictions, please indicate so in your RSVP so we may communicate this to the caterer.

Are children invited to the ceremony or reception?

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only affair so that everyone can relax and let their hair loose! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
