A LITTLE ABOUT US:
Our story begins with David and Emily, who both grew up in San Antonio and attended high school together. As only the greatest of romances do, David and Emily’s began in their high school Latin Club learning about the future participle and active periphrastic conjugation. Despite their obvious coolness, it took three full years for the two to finally connect during Emily’s senior year.
Whether by chance, happenstance, or plain good luck, the two hit it off immediately and knew right away their connection was something one-of-a-kind. When it came time to decide whether what they had was worth risking a long-distance relationship – one spread over the course of five years! – they didn’t hesitate. They were all in, and their relationship flourished through video chats, holidays at homes, and too many texts to count.
In a fortunate turn of events, when David was set to attend medical school in San Antonio, Emily, too, was starting a new job in the city. It was official: Five years of long distance was finally over and their lives together in the same place could begin.
Two years later, David asked Emily the question friends, family, and random passers-by had all been waiting for: Will you marry me?
Her answer, of course, was a heartfelt and inevitable “yes.” Now, after nearly eight years ago, it’s finally time to tie the knot!
